Art + Interiors: Colorful Vibrations [Wolf Kahn]

Good morning and happy Monday! With the dropping temperatures and the days shortening, I thought I'd start the week off with a little jolt of color. The work of artist Wolf Kahn is the perfect anecdote to a grey and gloomy day. His fusion of realism, color field and impressionism makes his style unique, his abstract landscapes instantly transporting the viewer to another space and time. I love his free, unconventional use of color and the way his sweeping brush strokes create a constant vibration in each piece.

"To send light into the darkness of men's hearts- such is the duty of the artist"- Schumann

Chair via Casamidy, Pillow via Sachin and Babi, Dresser via Robb & Stucky, Chandelier via Kravet, bedding via John Robshaw, Chair via Kartell, Fabric via Isaac Mizrahi

Nothing brightens a room more than a shock of color like this neon yellow chair that seems to vibrate before your eyes or this painterly Isaac Mizrahi fabric. The blues and greys balance out the space while the mix of patterns adds a subtle rhythm. I also love classic silhouettes in a modern medium like the Kartell Ghost chair. The perfect relief for a grey winter day don't you think? Enjoy!

  1. Love this fresh color palette! It makes me look forward to spring. That yellow wire chair is such a find! I want to put it in an English tea garden :)
