Neon Daylight

Happy Monday y'all! I thought I'd throw that in since I finally just shook the y'all I caught after being in Alabama and now I'm heading to Austin, Texas for a few days so I figure I might as well just embrace it! I'm having a serious neon yellow moment and I just can't seem to get enough of it so I thought I'd share some of my favorites ways I'm seeing it skillfully employed right now...

I adore every element of that outfit and if my house wasn't painted yellow I'd be making my door look like this right now. Hope you all y'all have a wonderful Monday...Enjoy!

Neon Daylight

I know when most people think of Fall, they think reds and oranges, but I'm in love with the moment right before that, when the leaves turn the brightest shade of yellow-green you've ever seen. And on a misty Seattle morning, the neon leaves seem to glow against the grey sky...

So now I'm looking for ways to channel this look into my home and wardrobe as well. A painting like Paul Behnke's minimalist neon and blue work would be like having a patch of September sunlight on the wall year round, and this little purse I've seen floating around the web would add a shock of interest to any bundled up outfit. Hope your Fall is off to a bright and shockingly wonderful start...Enjoy!!

Love it / Live it: Shock Therapy

Happy Monday everyone! Fall is officially here, and though I'm no longer in school I always get a sense of a fresh start, new beginnings, and the changing of seasons. Here is in Seattle, the days get drastically shorter, the skies turn to grey and the leaves turn brilliant, almost neon, shades of orange, red and yellow. And while I love the Fall, the grey, overcast skies can be tiring and I find myself battling the dullness with the most shocking hues I can find...

I'll definitely need some artwork for the wall with this vibrant green as well as a neon clutch or two. I love these paper works by Carl Kleiner, his clean and simple layering and fresh color combinations create so much depth in each piece, they seem to spill back through the wall. Hope your Fall is off to a wonderful start, I can't wait to see what the new season will bring, I have a feeling it's going to be good...Enjoy!
